Your in a classroom of your peers in the beginning of the semester. Everyone picks a seat and pretty much that is your seat. Why? Because your peers are coming in and sitting in the same seat every day for weeks. So everyone is comfortable. You’re comfortable. The teacher is comfortable. The people that surrounds your seat is comfortable and you are comfortable with your surroundings.
And then one day you walk in and somebody is seating in your seat. What? You have been sitting in that seat for weeks. Where did they come from? Don’t they know that this is your seat? Where is their seat? So you say, ok, I will give them a pass. However, the next day the same thing happens. What is happening here? The issue is not the seat. The issue is that person is not aware of the people in the room. Not aware of the feelings and unity of the room. Not aware of how their actions affect and effect others.
Could this happen in the church? People are not aware of others, or their feelings. Not sensing the unity in the church. Not aware of the comfort of others. Not understanding how their actions effect and affect others. Not noticing the efforts and issues that being unaware has caused. Simply being self-absorbed.
Let us all be reminded that we are not the only ones in the room/church. Let us be aware of others and make an effort to be sensitive to the feelings of others.
THERE IS POWER IN UNITY, BECAUSE WHEN ONE IS DIS-SATISFIED THERE IS NO UNITY!
