There is a story in the Old Testament that gives a very clear picture of the Grace of God in action. It shows the love of God for His people. It shows that God came after man and not the other way around. It shows God’s kindness and it shows God knows how to restore. And also shows that it doesn’t depend on our condition, position and decisions. Its only by His unmerited, unearned and undeserved favor!

The story is found in 2 Samuel 9:1-13. Its about David looking for somebody in the house of Saul he can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake. There was a lad who was lame living in a place called Lodebar.

Once David found him, he restore all that was lost and everyone attach to him was blessed and he was made a son and he sat at the king’s table to eat continuously. Oh, did I tell you he was lame? Oh did I tell you he lived in of place that had no hope, no pasture and no communication? Did I tell you that he wasn’t looking for or ask for it. Did I tell you he didn’t earn it or deserve it?

This sounds like grace to me. Read the story for yourself and look up what his name means and the city he lived in. You might come to the same conclusion I came up with.
