2 Corinthians 3:6 says Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life
I just left a children program at a grade school across the street from the church. It was an awesome display of the talent, love and upbringing of our children. I want to commend the Principle and her staff for a job well done. Not only in education, but also preparing them for the harsh reality of life.
So it gets me thinking. What is the church role in this partnership. How can the church impact the structure of humanity through our churches. Our we showing them through are message grace, love, forgiveness, caring, understanding, patience, self control, community, unity to name a few. Or are we showing them, fighting, hatred, gossip, unforgiveness, fakeness, hurt, pain, or plan and simple a form of godliness but denying the power there of. The is what the law will do if you try to keep it and follow it and preach and teach it. Because the fustration of failure will fuel all the negative things I mention above.
Paul states we are really not qualified to preach and teach the law. and its kills. We are only qualified to preach and teach the new testament/covenant which is JESUS. This leads to the positive things I said earlier. Plus LIFE.
So I will leave you with this quote from Frederick Douglass, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men”.
That’s what they’re doing at Pennsylvania School!!! Kudos!
