2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things passed away; behold, all things are become new.

A lot of people quote this scripture and give credence to the new way of living and acting. Also a new way of thinking too. However we are forgetting one important ingredient in this new life. Our language! If our language doesn’t change, then it will be hard for the rest of this new life to take afffect and have an impact on the lives of the people. See, before you were transformed into a new creature, the language that dominated your speech was always dealing with future tense speaking, or a sense of wanting, looking, needing, got to have stuff. Also wishing and believing to make things truth. Really, a lot of wasted energy went into this type of language. Well, no more! You are a new creature in Christ, so if your living, thinking and acting has change, so must your language. You have to speak from a finish work of the cross perspective. When Jesus was on the cross, He said ‘It is finished”. Do you know what that means? That He accomplished everything that was necessary to give you life eternal and reconciled you back to God. Means your sins our forgiven past, present and future. It means that all your needs, want and desires have been supplied. It means your life is now lived through Him. It means everything.

Let me give you some proof that this is real. 2 Peter 1:3 says According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godiness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Ephesians 1:3 says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritually blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

So Jesus has done it all for you. Your language must change so, that it can line up with the finished work of the cross. Start speaking like its done, not like it needs to be completed. Don’t believe to make it true, believe to experience what has already been accomplished. Speak like a new covenant believer, not like a someone wishing things into existence.  Come into the finished work of Jesus! #RADICALGRACE!
